Manufacturer Warranties
We honor manufacturer warranty policies on brands that we are authorized and trained for including Sony, Hitachi, JVC, Pioneer, Toshiba, and Philips Consumer electronics companies. A proof of purchase must be provided to validate warranty or we can provide assistance in contacting the manufacturer to validate the warranty through the company involved. If one of these products was purchased through Sears it is likely that the manufacturer carries no service responsibility and the repair will likely have to be made through a Sears service site. Please call for exceptions.
Out of Warranty Repairs
All out of warranty repairs are completed using O.E.M. parts when available. Repaired items are warranted to cover the repairs that we made for a period of ninety days after the repair is completed. A deposit is required and collected on items when checked in for repair. Large or complex items may require a larger deposit. If the repair estimate is accepted the deposit fee is credited to the repair fee. If the repair estimate is rejected the deposit fee becomes an estimate fee and is non-refundable. This fee is required to cover the time involved in handling and troubleshooting. All repaired items should be picked up in a reasonable, timely manner. Those items remaining in the shop over thirty days after the customer has been notified of repair are subject to disposal or storage fees.
Off Brand Repairs
There are a number of companies who market and possibly even make their own goods, however trying to repair their products is often time consuming and frustrating due to a lack of presence, service information and/or parts availability. In these cases we often will work on these units but may require a non-refundable deposit on the item.
Odd Repairs or Unknown Item Repairs
There are many instances where customers own products that we wouldn't normally encounter or have service literature on. In these cases, the customer may buy technical time from the shop on an hourly fee basis.
